Making Each Day Count

Kudos to my aunt who was able to continue growing these crisp, organic lettuce at our backyard, even though it’s already the scorching summer season! Though lettuce usually grows in cooler months, she was able to create a canopy for the lettuce bed, which served both as shade and protection against our cheeky hens.

These days we cannot readily go out to do our grocery shopping, so it’s comforting to know we have our homegrown veggies and fruits on hand as a backup.
