Street Art Hunting: For All Creatures

This wall art called Mother Nature: 4 Seasons was made by Dee Jae Pa’este. It is an ode to nature and our animal spirits, meant to remind us that even though we grow and change constantly like the different seasons we have to remember to stay rooted.

For me, I see this work of art as a statement that though I have become accustomed to living in the urban jungle, there is nothing that beats the beauty of nature. I would readily choose a quiet walk in the fields, on the beach, or the mountains. I would find peace listening to the birds, or the sound of the waves, or crickets at night. And my heart would melt at the sight of the innocent eyes of a dog, a cat, elephants, sea lions, and when I see these eyes, I would say a fervent prayer for every creature in the world to be free from captivity, hatred, and pain. That every man stays ROOTED.
