I just can’t get enough of markets. A couple of blogs ago I relished about my family lunch a.k.a seafood feast at the Macapagal Seaside Market and Restaurants. Now that I’m in Philadelphia for a couple of days, I’ve browsed through the most recommended places to eat and decided on checking out The Reading Terminal Market. Which was very convenient as it’s right smack in the middle of the places I walked to (I was up for a walking tour last Sunday). I found it walking after hearing mass at the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul taking the Benjamin Franklin Pkwy route through Arch St. Google Maps marks the Reading Terminal Market as “Historic hub for eclectic foods & goods”. I’ve seen several raves about it on the net, so I was very eager to walk all the way to there on a sunny midday with a growling stomach.
One thing I wasn’t prepared for was to be overwhelmed with the variety of food choices! Even though I was hungry I know my appetite was not that big, so I had to carefully choose. I ended up getting myself a falafel and ice cream – perfect combination.
This is probably gonna be one of my shortest blogs. It’s quite early and I cannot find words to describe the diverse tempting goodness that I found in the Reading Terminal Market, so I’d rather share with you some of the photos I quickly took (because I didn’t want to get in the way of the shoppers).

The Reading Terminal Market is located at 51 North 12th Street, Philadelphia PA 19107. They are open everyday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. For more information, check out their website at www.readingterminalmarket.org
