Oh, it’s the peak of the summer season in the tropics and right now I’m yearning to go to the beach. I don’t mind getting sunburned so as long as there’s the cool waters of the sea (or the pool) next to me.
The past few days it’s incredibly hot and humid. In the suburbs where I’m staying at it’s 30 degrees celsius at 7AM, but the heat index shows that is equivalent to 35 degrees, with 74% humidity. Wait til it’s noon thru 4PM when temperature rises ro 35 degrees celsius, and its equivalent is 42 degrees, with 52% humidity 😓😓😓
Looking at my photo archives I came across these, taken in 2013 when my friend from university days, Lorna, and I flew to Puerto Princesa, Palawan. Then we took the boat to get to the Dos Palmas Island Resort and Spa to embark on a laid back weekend of sun, sand, shakes and sea.

Palawan looks amazing and dreamy! I’ve never been to Philippines but would love to visit one day especially to see its beautiful beaches. Thanks for sharing and have a good day 😀 Aiva

Glad you liked it and thank you for reading Aiva. Palawan is fantastic – there’s El Nido, Coron, Puerto Princesa. All of them are great! Stay safe!

So beautiful; and interestingly it looks similar to Whitsunday Islands off the Queensland coast.

I hope it’s safer there now. I get reminded of the time when the Abu Sayyaf bandits kidnapped tourists checked in that resort: Martin and Gracia Burnham, the Wallert family, and a lot more in 2001…very tragic.

Oh, that too. Very tragic that he died young and in the most unlikely manner. 😦

The photos are beautiful! I wish someday that I get to visit a place like that in the Philippines. I’ve never been to the P.I. and hope I can achieve that goal one day. Stay safe and thank you for sharing your experiences.
