Throwback Travels: Brussels, Belgium

Hope you’re having a great Saturday wherever you are in the world.

Today my mind brings me back to our 3 days’ trip to Brussels, Belgium, way back in October 2015. It was our first time in Belgium, and for this trip we didn’t really plan our daily itinerary – we were ready to get lost in the city and enjoy what it was about to offer.

We arrived by train from Luxembourg, and walked to our AirBnB in Saint-Gilles. As soon as we dropped off our bags, D and I went off to explore the city by foot.

I’d say when I think of Brussels, the first things I’d remember are the weekend market where I was able to get a collection of vintage bar coasters for 1 Euro; the first time I’ve learned to love chocolates my whole life after that free sample handed out to me at a shop in Grand-Place; and the beautiful spots of the city that just happen to have stumbled upon.

Royal Palace of Brussels and Brusels Park

Manneken Pis: small but can’t be missed thanks to the tourists like us wanting to check it out
