Was chatting with my friend Chie and she greeted me happy six months. Was so busy I didn’t remember today marks the six months of being stuck at home for most of us here in the Philippines.
I miss Chie and our regular (pre-COVID) lunch, movie dates, and afternoon coffee/tea. I’ve known her for 21 years now – she was one of my first friends from work. Three years ago, she gave me a one liner diary called A Sentence A Day – 3 Years. It’s one of the things I look at each day as it’s quite refreshing reading through what I had in mind or what I was feeling in 2018, 2019, and comparing it with each day this 2020. Even when I travel, this little book’s always in my luggage. I wish I can find this online as I’d love to give something like this to my family and friends too, wherever they are in the world.
Just for fun I want to share with you today’s (and the previous years’) entries:
September 16: What was the last dessert you enjoyed?
2108: “I had refrigirator cake.”
2019: “I had dessert at the New York cruise with D and Pauline. I enjoyed it with tea!”
2020: “I had sylvannas from Dumaguete, delivered to me by Food Panda.”
Hope your day’s as sweet as mine!

Do you know if your lockdown with drag on much longer ? I mean, do your authorities keep you informed about that or… not?
Good luck anyway, I hope it’s all over soon! 🙂

It’s honestly a guessing game I think. I hear they’re reviewing on how to ease up more, but we havent flattened the curve yet.
Thanks for reading, Phil, and I hope you keep safe!

Cool concept! I don’t write in my journal every day, so this wouldn’t really work for me, but I’ve done a year-by-year (and month-by-month) breakdown of my travels before. It’s seeing what we do on a consistent basis and seeing the development of it all that makes it so fascinating!
