I used to enjoy afternoon tea with friends. But since the lockdown, sadly one of my favorite teashops TWG had closed off their dining area so I’ve not had a chance to have a proper afternoon tea. I’m still on the lookout for good scones and clotted cream. When I find them maybe I can have virtual tea sessions someday soon.
Recently I realized that next to the intimate conversations during afternoon tea, the reason I loved it so much was the fancy teacups. Amazing how social media suggests pages that pique one’s interest. I stumbled upon multiple Instagram accounts about vintage teacups and I’ve been fascinated and started collecting them since early this month. My first sets were made in Bavaria and Czekoslovakia, and then I found pieces from Japan and England. Once I get to travel this is definitely something I look forward to searching for and bringing back home.
