I was going through my photo archives and I realized ten years ago around this time I moved to Melbourne, Australia to my coty apartment that was to be my home for 3 months. My colleague and I had someone welcoming us and touring us around on our first weekend. She asked me what I would like to do and I readily asked if she could take us to a place where we can see kangaroos. Not a zoo, but somewhere they roam free. And so she brought us to Lysterfield Lake, a bit of a drive away from Melbourne.
True enough, as soon as we found our parking spot, kangaroos hopped nearby. That was a sight!
As I write this I’m searching for trails D and I can take that’s close to our home. My feet (and lungs) long for green paths, preferably under the canopy of trees. Memories of Lysterfield Lake inspire me to go out and stretch my legs. Been cooped up in our home office over the last week, we are in need of a proper recharge.

We walked around the lake and admired the cast tranquil green space. I remember my colleague saying she wished there were parks and lakes like this in Manila. Nothing beats the simple beauty nature showcases.
