While my last two posts summarized the highlight destinations of my short vacation in Taipei, Taiwan, today I would like to share with you snapshots of some of the food D and I tried when we were there.
This beef noodle soup was from around the corner of our hotel in Taipei. We were curious about it because there was always a queue there, so we got there before noon to beat the crowds. D liked how tender the beef and flavorful the broth were.

Also near our hotel was a food stall that specializes in xiao long bao. I found it after our hotpot dinner on our first night but I just had to try it. There was a queue even though it was already late at night, but the wait was not long. We enjoyed it hot and I gave myself a pat on the back because I managed to eat them correctly.

Near the night market is this skewers food shop that I enjoyed. I liked the squid skewers so much that I went back every night.

Since D and I walked thousands of steps everyday while we were in Taipei, we frequently had a bite at food stalls. This one was one of my favorites – a pan fried bun with cabbage and bamboo shoots in it.

Lastly, we quite liked the coffee scene in Taipei. We got to try some highly rated cafes and the coffee and pastries were a delight.
