We were able to avail of Hotels.com’s free nights at Zamboangita, a bus ride away from Dumaguete, Negros Oriental. Since we were meant to go to Apo Island, we figured to find a resort close to the port instead of coming from the busy city of Dumaguete.
Luckily there were still availabe rooms at Thalatta Resort. We stayed at a villa called Zambales. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. It was next to the pool. And though we didn’t have a sunset as beautiful as what we saw in Siquijor, the one we got in Zamboangita had its own unique beauty.
Here’s the view of Apo Island from the Thalatta’s beachfront. The port was just a five minute walk from the resort.
