Thien Mu Pagoda

En route to Lang Vua Minh Mang from the Imperial Citadel of Hue, Vietnam, we stopped at the 7-storey Buddhist pagoda called Thien Mu Pagoda. Entrance here was free, but as expected, it was flooded with tourists.

The beautiful pagoda is atop a hill and overlooking the peaceful Perfume River. It was a sunny day and the scenery around the pagoda was awesome. I read that Buddhist monks live here but we did not see them when we dropped by.

There is a boat port at the foot of the hill, and souvenir shops around the area.

  1. Such a beautiful pagoda..!!
The Thien Mu pagoda looks different from the others. Usually pagodas aren’t designed as a keep, but I guess this might be the norm in Vietnam..!!
