Throwback Travels: Bolinao, Pangasinan

Another pleasant find deep in my photo archives: our trip to Bolinao, Pangasinan. And to give it a more nostalgic feel the Top Hits of 2008 playlist is blasting on my Spotify as I write this.

I’d no idea what Bolinao was all about until I got free overnight stay at Puerto Del Sol Beach Resort from a raffle. D was the one who researched how we would get there, and so one very early morning before dawn (I was working night shift at the time) we drove towards north of Luzon. We went off with a very early start to skip the morning rush traffic, aiming to get there by noon.

En route to the resort we stopped by the Bolinao Enchanted Cave. We were greeted by a guide who led us down to the crystal clear underground waters. The guide said that a local TV show Dyesebel was shot there. I wasn’t surprised – the natural pool looked spectacular!

What I remember most from Bolinao was the soft white sand and the picturesque view of coconut trees and the distant waves. I want to go back so badly. I saw Bolinao featured on TV and realized we have yet to check out the falls! My revised bucket list keeps getting longer and I can’t wait to get out.
